Founders

SafetyFestMT started when a group of concerned Montanans decided to change the state’s safety culture.

The idea is straightforward: provide high-quality safety training for Montana’s workers at little or no cost, in a format that meets the safety needs of the work they do.

Knowing that quality training resources already exist in Montana, the SafetyFestMT planning team began looking for founding partners, who could go above and beyond to provide the additional resources needed to move SafetyFestMT from an idea to an event.

Five Partners, each deeply committed to improving Montana’s safety performance, stepped up to provide the SafetyFestMT founding support and resources:

Liberty Northwest: A provider of private workers’ compensation insurance serving Montana;

Montana State Fund: A state-based provider of workers’ compensation insurance serving Montana;

Montana Contractors Compensation Fund: A self-insuring group providing workers’ compensation insurance to its members;

WorkSafetMT: A not-for-profit private/public partnership that promotes workplace safety;

Montana Department of Labor and Industry, Employee Relations Division: A division of Montana State Government responsible for work place safety.
